I took some time out thinking of the Peter Sallis tribute to pay respects to Simon Shelton who played Tinky Winky in the original series. I wish I could say the news is false but his family have confirmed the news via social media and I first heard it on Twitter. Twitter I'm probably the first on DeviantART to do a tribute to him.

That is really sad five years on, but at least Tinky Winky’s first EVER actor Dave Thompson is still with us
